I tried switching to a variety of sample rates, from 24-bit 48000 KHz to 16-bit 44100, but nothing worked. Since the game client has no way to specify an audio output in its options menu, I double checked the default input/output devices in Windows' sound control panel as well as the Nu Audio application, and found that they were set properly. I use an eVGA Nu Audio PCIE sound card, and have had no issues with any other game or application (either UWP from the Windows Store/Xbox app or regular programs), but I found that the Operencia client would not output any sound, no matter what I did.

I picked Operencia up through the XBox app the day before it was scheduled to leave Game Pass, just to see if it was worth paying the retail price on Steam.
